By Al-Amin Ciroma

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has pledged to provide a house and cover all medical expenses for Malam Ahmed Abubakar Zakka, his wife, Nafisah, and their daughter, Fatima, following their release from captivity.

The National Lens reports that the governor made the pledge during a visit to the family at the Kaduna State Government safe house, where they are receiving continued medical care after being discharged from hospital.

During the visit, Sani expressed optimism that the family would make a full recovery, assuring them of the state government's continued support throughout their healing process.

Beyond covering their medical bills and providing accommodation, the governor also promised sustained psychosocial care to help the family recover from the trauma associated with their ordeal.

The intervention, according to the information made available, is aimed at ensuring that the family receives the necessary medical attention, emotional support and stability as they begin rebuilding their lives following their return to freedom.

Governor Sani also acknowledged the roles played by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and security agencies in securing the family's release.

He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to confronting insecurity and working with relevant federal authorities and security agencies to protect residents and strengthen public safety across Kaduna State.

The governor's visit underscores the importance of sustained support for victims of insecurity beyond the immediate rescue effort, particularly in addressing their medical, psychological and social needs.
