CONYWIGG Honours Dr. Emmanuel Simon as Garkuwan Matasan Arewa

The Coalition of Northern Youth and Women Initiative for Good Governance (CONYWIGG) has conferred the traditional title of Garkuwan Matasan Arewa (Shield of Northern Youths) on Dr. Emmanuel Simon.

The conferment took place  during a courtesy visit by the coalition, which was recommended and facilitated by Dr. Tafida Jibril Lawal, Special Assistant to the President of the Senate on Diaspora and NGO Matters.

CONYWIGG said the honour was in recognition of Dr. Simon’s outstanding contributions to religious harmony, interfaith dialogue, youth empowerment and women development. The coalition also cited his steadfast promotion of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Dr. Simon serves as National Patron, Religious Affairs, of the group Relax Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria, a support group for the current administration.

In his acceptance remarks, Dr. Simon expressed profound gratitude to CONYWIGG and to Dr. Tafida Jibril Lawal for the recommendation and facilitation. He described the title as one he will forever cherish and value.

He pledged to continue to serve as a beacon of peace, unity and good governance for Northern youths and Nigeria at large, and to use the title to further advance interfaith harmony and youth inclusion.
