EFCC Arrests City Boy Movement Women Leader Over Alleged Fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the suspended South-West Zonal Coordinator of the women’s wing of the City Boy Movement, over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest on Saturday, saying Tejuosho was taken into custody on September 8 and remains with the anti-graft agency.
The National Lens reports that the development comes months after the commission declared Tejuosho wanted in April 2026 as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged fraud.
The 41-year-old businesswoman had previously been questioned by the EFCC in June 2025 following complaints that she allegedly collected money from individuals by claiming she could secure federal government appointments and lucrative contracts for them.
According to reports on the investigation, the allegations included the use of purported appointment letters and forged documents to convince individuals that she could facilitate government appointments and contracts. Tejuosho, who was identified as the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was later granted administrative bail while investigations continued.
Following her declaration as wanted, the City Boy Movement suspended her from her position as South-West Zonal Coordinator of its women’s wing.
The organisation said the suspension was an administrative measure pending the conclusion of the investigation and was intended to allow the process to proceed without interference.
Tejuosho's latest arrest represents a new development in the investigation, with the EFCC yet to announce the conclusion of its probe or any final determination of the allegations
