2027:I Will Reset Nigeria In Four Years Makinde Pledges

The Presidential Candidate Of Allied Peoples' Movement APM and Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde says he will reset the country's economic in four years if elected as President in twenty twenty seven general election. 

Engineer Seyi Makinde made the pledge during a north central town hall meeting of their party held in lafia, the nasarawa state capital. 

Our correspondent reports that the Vice Presidential Candidate of the APM, Lawal Dauda, Governorship candidates in the region and other stakeholders and members of the party were present during the meeting. 

Addressing the stakeholders during town hall meeting, the APM Presidential Candidate lamented that over the years, the All Progressives Congress APC led administration had destabilized the country with its policies which had increased the level of hardship and sufferings on the citizens. 

He noted that the 2027 presidential election will not be determined what the flag bearer spend to get the support of the electorates, but expressed confidence that the citizens will vote based on their convictions.

"The 2027 general election will not be determined by pundits. But this election is not going to be determined by the number of billionaires you have in your corner, or how much billion you have to spend. This election will be determined by the people of nigeria," he said.

Engineer Seyi Makinde explained that the nigeria will only achieve sustainable development through issue based politics and a leadership committed to constitutional democracy.

The APM Presidential flag bearer pledged to overhaul the education sector of the country by addressing the challenge of out-of-school children through reliable data and targeted interventions.

He also promise to reform nigeria’s socio political system if elected into office in 2027, and urged the citizens to obtain their permanent voter cards and support what he described as a movement to rebuild the country.

"After all, we had somebody who was head of state in this country for 10 months, and he was able to end military rule and usher in the democracy that we now enjoy in nigeria,' he added......... 

"So, we can reset this country and give nigeria a new security architecture, reset and give the country a new path for education, reset the economy utilizing data, science, and logic, and reset the socio political environment in four years. That is our agenda.

On his part, The National Chairman of the APM, Yusuf Dantalle described the current security challenges in the country as worrisome, noting that if the Presidential Candidate of the party is elected in 2027, the issue of kidnapping and banditry will be a thing of the past. 

He, therefore appealed to the electorates in nasarawa and other states of the north central region to support the Engineer Seyi Makinde's candidacy in order to reset nigeria and put the country on the right path.

Earlier in his speech, the Nasarawa State Governorship Candidate of the APM, Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, promised to mobilize support for Makinde in order to ensure his landslide victory during the 2027 presidential election.
